Getting better!

Here are some more pictures of rings that I made. As you can see, I am improving. The reason being is that I'm using a thinner gauge of wire, and I'm also watching a lot of YouTube vidoes.

Great News!

It looks like I will be selling some of my stuff in a local gift shop. I now have to make a display so Rodge is going to help since he's very handy. He also thought of a cute name for my work: Totally Wired. I think it's great and very fun!

Leaf bracelet

My library book has really come in handy. It has so many neat patterns and I just want to skip the first few and start working on the more complicated projects. However, I can't because I need to learn the basics first.

The leaf bracelet really starts to challenge your skills. There is a lot of bending required and you have to be precise. So far, so good.

Tomorrow I will be meeting with someone at our local museum to discuss the potential of me selling these pieces. She was very interested in my work. Wish me luck!

Another copper necklace

This necklace was pretty intricate because I had to work with three different pieces. I had to twirl many pieces around a mandrel (knitting needle) and then bend the ends outward. To date, this has been the most challenging project.

Lots of new treasures

I just got back from Winnipeg and got a chance to visit two really cool bead stores: Pocco Beads and Soul Expressions. There were so many beautiful beads to choose from, I didn't know where to start.

After searching through a multitude of bins, I picked up a strand of Jade, of Rose Quartz, of pink pearls and of green pearls. I also bought a coil of sterling silver wire.

Dan, if you want anything, you better let me know soon. LOL.

Ring-a-ding-ding!

It's so cold and snowy today, I decided to try and make my first ring today. So, I went to the craft store and bought a huge container of glass beads. There are many different shapes, sizes and colours to choose from. I wanted to make one silver, one gold and one copper ring, so I chose different colours and sizes which I thought would look best.

Here are the results:

My bf helped me make the silver and gold rings. I must say, he's very crafty. LOL. I made the copper ring myself. The copper and gold ones belong to me, and the silver one is my bf's.

To date, this has been my favourite project. :)
